Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students in Year 5
  • Assess and evaluate student progress to provide feedback and support where needed
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and other stakeholders to support student development
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions and school events as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Degree in relevant subject

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in Year 5
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong classroom management abilities
  • Creative approach to teaching and learning
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and educational best practises

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or qualifications in specific areas of teaching or learning
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
