Job Title: Year 1 Teacher

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Year 1 students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and colleagues
  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes student participation and engagement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required

Required Qualifications:

  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Education:

  • PGCE in Primary Education or relevant field

Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching Year 1 students preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in special education or child development
  • Experience with assessment and tracking student progress

Working Conditions:
