Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 1 students
  • Assess and monitor student progress
  • Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education:

Degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching Year 1 or Key Stage 1 students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in early childhood education

Working Conditions:

This role involves working with young children in a school setting. Full-time hours are expected, with occasional weekend or evening work for school events or meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
