We work closely with schools across Newcastle and North Tyneside, in particular we have mainstream secondary schools out the west of Newcastle who are looking for full-time cover supervisors.
Taking on the role of cover supervisor is a great opportunity for those who are considering applying for a teaching qualification. Having experience working within schools will benefit you when you begin your course placement.
Cover Supervisors are expected to oversee the classroom during the absence of the usual teacher. They do not have to mark work or lesson plan. Cover supervisors are in charge of classroom behaviour and ensuring the students complete their preset work.
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Has or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Has good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Is passionate about educational development.
- A confident individual
- Someone who feels comfortable engaging with students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
