About You

We are looking for individuals who have a natural affinity for working with children of all ages, are comfortable with special needs, and are passionate about making a positive impact on students' learning and development. While previous experience is not required, qualities such as commitment, passion, and dedication are essential.

The Role

As a teaching assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in small class sizes of 6-8 students per class, following a structured curriculum. Your responsibilities will include developing speech and language skills, teaching vocabulary and comprehension using visual resources, supporting students in core subjects like numeracy and literacy, and assisting in creative lessons such as art, music, cooking, and sensory play.

Role Details

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30
  • Students: Working with students with special needs such as autism, speech and language difficulties, and learning difficulties
  • Class Size: Supporting students in a class setting of 6-8 students per class
  • Development: Developing students' communication and social awareness
  • One-to-one Support: Opportunity for one-to-one student support
  • Key Subjects: Assisting in key subjects such as tailored numeracy and literacy
  • Creative Lessons: Supporting students in creative lessons such as art, music, and cooking
