Job Duties:

  • Supporting teachers in the delivery of educational programmes
  • Assisting students with special educational needs such as SEMH, SpLD, ASC, and ADHD
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Experience working with children or young people

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of special educational needs such as SEMH, SpLD, ASC, ADHD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school setting, supporting teachers and students. The hours are full-time and may require some flexibility. Training will be provided to support professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
