Job Title: Teaching Assistant

 

Working as a Teaching Assistant you will provide support for students with SEMH needs who may find it difficult or be reluctant to engage in education. This will include building rapport with students and creating positive relationships which influence them to regulate their behaviour. You will work 8:30 - 5:00pm Monday -Thursday and 8:30 - 4:30pm on Friday. If you have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant/support worker or are passionate about improving the outcomes for young people, this is the role for you. As an individual you will be outgoing and confident in your abilities to deal with behavioural difficulties and re-engaging students in education.

Salary:

£88 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering lessons and activities
  • Assisting with classroom management and student supervision
  • Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Preparing materials and resources for lessons
  • Helping to create a positive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs is beneficial

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning processes
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
  • Proficient in using basic IT tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
