Job Duties:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering lessons to students
  • Assisting students with physical and learning disabilities, including those with PMLD
  • Helping students with mobility issues move around the school
  • Providing personal care to students as required
  • Supporting students with their educational and personal development

Required Qualifications:

No formal qualifications required, but experience in a similar role is preferred

Education:

GCSEs in English and Maths are desirable

Experience:

Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is an advantage

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of PMLD and mobility issues
  • Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

Working Conditions:

You will work within a school setting, collaborating closely with teachers and other support staff. The role may involve assisting students with personal care and mobility throughout the school day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
