Protocol Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant 1:1 to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with a specific student, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs and facilitate their learning and development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to the assigned student, both in the classroom and during individualized sessions.
  • Assist with the implementation of personalized learning plans, ensuring that educational goals are met.
  • Support the student in understanding and completing classroom tasks, assignments, and projects.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes the student's academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff members to ensure the student's needs are met effectively.
  • Monitor the student's progress and communicate regularly with teachers and parents/guardians.
  • Provide emotional and behavioral support as needed, helping the student develop coping strategies and social skills.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents/guardians.
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and resources.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the school community.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable but not essential.
