Job Duties:

As a Teacher of French/German, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and informative lessons in French and German languages to students. You will create a positive learning environment, assess student progress, and provide feedback to support their development. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and participate in school events and activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in French, German, or related field

Education:

A degree in French, German, or a related field is required for this role.

Experience:

Previous experience teaching French and German languages is preferred. Newly qualified teachers with relevant language skills are also encouraged to apply.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Fluency in French and German languages
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Knowledge of current educational practises

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting

Working Conditions:

This position involves working full-time hours on a contract basis. You will be based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, and may be required to participate in school events and meetings outside of regular hours. The role offers a competitive daily rate of £140 - £160.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
