Job Description

Job Duties:

As a Supply Teacher, your primary role will be to deliver pre-planned lessons to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will need to effectively manage the classroom, create a positive learning environment, and ensure that all students are engaged and productive during the lesson.

Required Qualifications:

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Valid DBS check
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

A degree in Education or relevant subject area.

Experience:

Prior experience working in a classroom setting is preferred, but newly qualified teachers are also welcome to apply.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments
  • Good understanding of the national curriculum

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in special educational needs (SEN) or behaviour management
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

This is a contract position where you will be required to work full school days, typically from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The salary ranges from £120 to £150 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. Travel to different schools within the designated area may be necessary.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
