A special needs school in the Leicestershire area are looking to recruit Special Needs Teaching Assistants (SENDTAs) who are passionate about supporting students and who want to encourage them to achieve and reach their full potential.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic candidates who are proactive, well-organised, flexible, empathetic and a team player to join their support staff team.The successful candidate will understand the importance of a person-centred approach and ensure the students’ learning is a positive experience. 

The successful candidates will be supporting students aged between 8 and 18 years with a variety of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH). Supporting 1:1 with the Teacher or in small groups and will need to read support plans in place to ensure the pupil's needs are met. They are also looking for confident candidates who are able to manage behaviours that challenge and sensory needs when required.

The school promotes independency, self-esteem, and confidence throughout the learning of their students, to support them on their journey into adulthood.

About the Role:

Full Time and part time work available 

8.30am - 4.00pm

 
£75 - £85 per day 
 


Ideal Candidate: 
Previous SEN experience - highly desirable but not essential

Willingness to train and complete courses relating to SEN

Proactive and well-organised

Team player 

Driver with access to car at all times

Team Teach/NAPPI training - highly desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
