SPECIAL NEEDS TEACHER

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Teacher to join our team. As a Special Needs Teacher, you will work with students who have a variety of learning, physical, emotional, and developmental disabilities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Your role will involve collaborating with other educators, specialists, and parents to ensure that students receive the support and resources they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.

Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and parents to address the unique needs of each student.

Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.

Support students in developing social skills, independence, and self-advocacy.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

Degree in Special Education or a related field.

Experience working with students with special needs preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with special needs.
