Protocol Education are hiring a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (Special educational needs and disabilities – SEND). As a SEND teaching assistant you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored and inclusive education to students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the support and guidance they need to reach their full potential. Please note this is a full time role. 

Key Responsibilities:

-          Experience working with children or in an educational setting

-          Passionate about helping students and individuals with SEN (special educational needs)

-          Strong team working skills

-          Minimum of a high school diploma; a relevant qualification in education or child development is an advantage.

-          Resilience

-          Engage in continuous professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in special needs education, and stay informed about developments in the field.

-          Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external professionals, and provide regular updates on students' progress, achievements, and any concerns or issues that arise.

Requirements:

-          The right to work in the UK

-          Has or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.

-          Is a confident and approachable person.

-          Adapts well in new environments and can work flexibility

-          Has positive verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

-          Ideally candidates would have some personal or professional experience in schools or interacting with SEMH or SEND children.
