We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school community. 

Position: Full-time Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Location: Newham, London Role Overview: As a SEN TA, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to support students with special educational needs. Your role will involve providing one-on-one assistance, implementing tailored learning strategies, and creating a nurturing environment that fosters academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN
  • Provide support and guidance to students during class activities and educational exercises
  • Assist in creating and adapting learning materials to suit individual learning needs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and the SENCO regarding student progress and any concerns

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or education
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
