Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Sociology and Criminology
  • Assess and provide feedback on students' work
  • Monitor and track student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Sociology, Criminology, or a related field
  • Experience teaching Sociology and/or Criminology

Education:

Degree in Sociology, Criminology, or a related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching Sociology and/or Criminology

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Sociology and Criminology concepts
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the academic calendar. The teacher will be expected to work full-time hours and may participate in extracurricular activities or events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
