Protocol Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in Sunderland.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to implement engaging activities and lesson plans.
  • Provide personalized support to students, both one-on-one and in small groups, across various subjects.
  • Assist students with special educational needs (SEN) by adapting materials to meet their individual requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment by supervising students at all times.
  • Foster a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and growth.
  • Support teachers in assessing student progress and development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting.
  • Genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and disabilities.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma; a qualification in education or child development is advantageous.
  • Teaching experience is preferred but not required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
