We are seeking experienced and knowledgeable SEND Teaching Assistants who specializing in the understanding and managing of autism in primary aged children. At protocol education we have trusted and reliable partnerships with many schools across the South Yorkshire region who are searching for eligible applicants, could this be you?

The successful candidate will:

• Have ample experience engaging with SEN pupils, especially those with autism.

• Be patient, understanding and have a calm approachable manor.

• Be adaptable and versatile to pupils changes in behavior, wants and needs.

• Obtain a cache level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent and enhanced DBS.

• Have up to date Team Teach training, desirable but not essential.

• Have some understanding about EHCP’s, desirable but not essential.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Leading 1:1 or small group sessions following planning from SENCO, Teacher or using child’s EHCP.

• Helping SEN children to engage in a classroom environment on a 1:1 basis.

• Assist with locating the wants and needs of children with communication difficulties.

• Prepare activities and resources under instruction from a Teacher or SENCO.

• Unsure effective relevant record keeping is active.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
