Job Description:
The SEND Teaching Assistant will work in a school setting in South East England, specifically in Croydon, Surrey. The role involves providing support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the classroom.
Job Duties:
- Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans for students with SEND
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require extra help
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with their learning activities and social interactions
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour strategies
Required Qualifications:
- Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in learning support, childcare, or social work
- Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional qualifications in special education or related field
- Experience working with children with specific learning difficulties
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with regular school hours
- May require occasional participation in training or development sessions
- Working closely with teachers, students, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
