Job Description:
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher with exceptional teaching abilities to work with young individuals with complex needs, particularly arising from autism. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering our carefully designed curriculum and assessment framework, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all pupils.
Job Duties:
- Lead a class of pupils and deliver the full curriculum
- Provide high-quality and effective learning opportunities
- Collaborate with learning support assistants and multi-disciplinary teams
- Inspire and motivate pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Secure excellent rates of progress and attainment for all children
- Develop strong partnerships with parents, professionals, and the community
- Contribute to the wider school community
Required Qualifications:
- PGCE
- QTS
- Degree in Education or related field
Experience:
- Experience in teaching children with SEND, particularly autism spectrum disorders
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong behaviour management abilities
- Understanding of SEND and SEMH
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training or qualifications in Special Education
