Protocol Education are seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant Personal Care to join a successful SEND Department to assist in the support and development of students with special educational needs and to assist with the provision of personal support needed for students with specialised care needs.

Qualifications:

  • Safeguarding certification
  • Level 2 teaching assistant qualification

Job Duties:

  • Provide personal care support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans
  • Support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Assist with vocational training and work experience placements off site

Required Qualifications:

  • Maths and English at a C grade or equivalent

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of personal care techniques
  • Understanding of special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions:

  • Work in an educational environment supporting students with special educational needs
  • Potential off-site work for vocational training and work experience placements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
