We are a leading education agency dedicated to providing exceptional support to primary schools across Leeds.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team on a flexible basis.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.
  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing Individual Education Plans and adapting teaching materials to suit the needs of SEN pupils.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and confidence among SEN pupils.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support to SEN pupils.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behaviour, adhering to school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, either in a school setting or a similar environment.
  • Understanding of different special educational needs and strategies for supporting pupils with diverse learning requirements.
  • Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with children facing educational challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of SEN pupils and school settings.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
