Job Description:
We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced Supply SEN 1:1 Support Workers to provide individualized support to students with special educational needs in various educational settings. As a Supply SEN 1:1 Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to work on a flexible basis, providing support to students on a one-to-one basis to help them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
  • Adapt and differentiate teaching and learning activities to meet the individual needs and abilities of each student.
  • Assist with personal care and physical support as required, ensuring the safety and well-being of the student at all times.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and sensory regulation techniques to support students' emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a one-to-one support capacity.
  • Understanding of different special educational needs and knowledge of appropriate support strategies.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different educational settings and with students of varying ages and needs.
  • Valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
