Role Overview: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll assume a pivotal role in providing essential support to non-verbal children, ensuring they receive tailored assistance to thrive both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities:

Provide personalized support to non-verbal children, facilitating their communication and comprehension. Assist non-verbal children utilizing Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Makaton. Work closely with educators and therapists to execute customized learning plans. Cultivate a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere where every child feels supported and valued. Utilize innovative and captivating teaching methodologies to foster learning and development. Monitor and evaluate progress, offering feedback to the school's multidisciplinary team as needed. Requirements:

Prior experience working with SEN children is advantageous, though not mandatory. A background in caregiving or psychology would be advantageous. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
