About the Role:
As a dedicated member of our Protocol Education team, you will play an integral part in nurturing and supporting students with SEMH needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one support to students, fostering their social and emotional development.
- Collaborating closely with teachers and SEMH specialists to implement personalized support plans and effective behavior management strategies.
- Assisting in various classroom activities, ensuring students' engagement and participation despite their SEMH challenges.
- Cultivating positive and trustful relationships with students, contributing to their overall well-being and personal growth.
Qualifications and Skills:
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- Previous experience in a school or care setting, supporting students dealing with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
- A solid understanding of SEMH conditions and effective strategies for support.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to empathetically connect with students and enhance their social and emotional development.
- Compassion, patience, and empathy, driven by a genuine passion for supporting students facing SEMH challenges.
- Flexibility and adaptability to cater to the diverse needs of students across different age groups and abilities.
- A valid enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or a willingness to obtain one.
- Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
