Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with Autism, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and those requiring Makaton communication.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans for students with SEN
  • Support students in their learning activities and promote their independence
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioural challenges
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals

Required Qualifications:

  • TA Level 2 qualification
  • TA Level 3 qualification
  • HLTA qualification

Skills:

  • Compassion and understanding towards students with SEN
  • Effective behaviour management techniques
  • Patience and sensitivity in dealing with students' needs
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Additional training in Makaton communication

Working Conditions:

  • Full-Time hours, contract position
  • Salary range of £83 - £90 per day
  • Work in an educational setting with students with SEN

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
