JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Duties:
1. Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in classroom settings.
2. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
3. Provide one-to-one support to students with learning difficulties.
4. Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
5. Help students with personal care tasks, if required.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with children with SEN
- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs are desirable
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
- Experience in supporting students with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of SEN policies and procedures
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
- Strong organisational skills
- Patience and empathy towards students with learning difficulties
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time hours, temporary role
- Work within a school setting
- May involve assisting with personal care tasks
- Collaborative work with teachers and SENCOs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
