The School:

The Headteacher of this lovely primary school based in Enfield is currently looking to onboard an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to their team of staff to help and support SEN students either on a 1:1 basis or on a small group basis.

Job Duties:

1. Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in various settings.

2. Assist in implementing individual education plans for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

3. Deliver small group support sessions to enhance learning outcomes.

4. Provide 1 to 1 support to students with SEN to facilitate their academic and social development.

Required Qualifications:

- CACHE Level 2 qualification or higher in Teaching Assistant or related field.

Education:

Minimum of CACHE Level 2 qualification in Teaching Assistant or equivalent.

Experience:

Previous experience working with students with SEN is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of SEN requirements and best practises.

- Ability to provide support in a variety of educational settings.

- Proficiency in delivering small group and 1 to 1 support.

Preferred Qualifications:

- CACHE Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistant or equivalent.

Working Conditions:

- Work in educational settings such as schools and special education units.

- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to meet the needs of students with SEN.

- Full-Time hours with occasional flexibility required based on student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
