The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis, starting in September. The successful candidate will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism, or physical disabilities.
  • Assist classroom teachers in differentiating instruction and adapting learning materials to meet the individual needs of SEN students.
  • Support students with social and emotional development, promoting positive behavior and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with SENCO and other staff members to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with students who may have complex needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is desirable but not essential.
