Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN
  • Helping students with SEN to participate in classroom activities
  • Assisting with the monitoring and recording of student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEN

Education:

Relevant educational background in teaching or special education

Experience:

Experience in a similar role working with students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning needs and abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Patience and empathy towards students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SEN teaching assistant qualification
  • First aid training

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a classroom setting
  • Potential for assisting students with physical disabilities
  • Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
