Protocol education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Supply Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with special educational needs (SEN) within the classroom setting.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities to meet the individual needs of SEN students.
  • Support students in developing academic, social, and emotional skills, fostering their independence and confidence.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably within a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students facing challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and use initiative when working independently.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
