Teaching Assistants & Support Staff - SEND - North Bradford - Sociable Hours - Up to £500 per week for experienced individuals 

Protocol Education is currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as SEND Teaching and Support Assistants in North Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to take their first steps in the education sector or for those with previous experience in care work or other supportive roles. The role of the SEND Teaching & Support Assistant is to provide assistance to young people with identified Special Educational Needs or Disabilities, helping to remove any barriers that may affect their learning and allowing them to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will possess patience, adaptability, and a can-do attitude, as well as a genuine motivation to improve outcomes for young people.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Building and maintaining successful relationships with young people.
  • Providing support to individual and small groups of students in both traditional and non-traditional learning environments.
  • Acting as a role model and mentor for young people.
  • Assisting students with their physical, personal care, and medical needs, promoting independence.
  • Implementing specific educational programmes for young people.
  • Delivering activities to small groups of identified young people.
  • Recording observations on young people's behaviour and progress.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in youth work, youth offending services, emergency services, creative industries, and sports coaching. However, we welcome applications from individuals with a background in supporting others from various sectors.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
