Job Duties:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. This includes assisting with individual learning needs, providing support during lessons, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with teachers to implement educational plans and ensure the well-being and progress of all students.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs - Experience working with children with SEN - Knowledge of KS1, SEMH, KS2, ASD, Autism

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting is essential.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support them - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a team - Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional training in Special Educational Needs - Safeguarding training

Working Conditions:

You will work in a school environment, following the academic calendar. The role may involve some physical activity and you may be required to assist students with mobility issues. You will work closely with teaching staff, students, and parents to ensure the best possible support for students with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
