Role and Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, emphasizing their well-being and self-esteem.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school or care setting with students encountering social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • In-depth understanding of diverse SEMH conditions and corresponding support strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively connect and engage with students to enhance their social and emotional development.
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and empathy, driven by a genuine passion for supporting students facing SEMH challenges.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, given the likelihood of working with students across various age groups and abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
