Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs?  Do you have a passion to help children with special educational needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant

Role Overview:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs. You will work closely with classroom teachers and SEN coordinators to implement tailored support plans, provide one-on-one assistance, and create a nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, including academic, social, and emotional support.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Support students during classroom activities, ensuring their full participation and engagement.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the SEN team to assess student progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or a related field.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
