We have a pupil referral unit in North Bristol looking for a SEMH Learning Lead to lead a class of 5.

 

You will need to be:

-     Passionate and committed about contributing to the social, emotional, and academic development of every young person.

-     Supportive and have an encouraging attitude, to inspire trust and motivate students.

-     Able to use your initiative to find creative ways to support and meet the needs of the students, adapting your approach depending on each individual communication and learning needs.

 

The Role:

-     You will lead the teaching of a group of 5 children, supporting pupils to overcome their barriers to learning and help them to make accelerated progress.

-     Support the behaviour management of the classroom, following the schools behaviour management policy.

-     Follow school’s safeguarding policies, ensuring any safeguarding concerns are reported using the school’s referral procedures.

-     Lessons will be planned and resourced - with the opportunity to adapt and differentiate to your style

-     The school are a small friendly team who are keen to support the development of their staff. They have had staff progress to become learning mentors, Education Psychologist, and social workers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
