Skills: Teaching Assistant (TA), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)

Job Duties:

- Providing 1-1 support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

- Implementing behaviour management strategies to support student development

- Collaborating with teachers and SENCO to create individualised support plans

- Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour

- Assisting in classroom activities and promoting positive learning environments

Required Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs

- Teaching Assistant (TA) qualification or relevant experience

- Understanding of behaviour management techniques

- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

- Experience in a similar role within an educational setting

- Knowledge of SEMH and strategies for supporting students

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher

- Additional training in behaviour management or SEN support

- First Aid certification
