Job Duties:
- Provide 1-1 support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Assist in the delivery of individualised education plans for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Support students in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2) settings
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, ASD, ADHD
- Knowledge of Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA) practises
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, or Special Educational Needs
Experience:
- Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students
Preferred Qualifications:
- SEN Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Training in safeguarding and child protection
Working Conditions:
