Job Duties:

  • Provide 1-1 support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Assist in the delivery of individualised education plans for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Support students in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2) settings

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, ASD, ADHD
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA) practises
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, or Special Educational Needs

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum
  • Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SEN Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Training in safeguarding and child protection

Working Conditions:
