Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to secondary school students in various educational settings
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and student supervision
  • Help students with their learning and development
  • Support students with special educational needs
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

A relevant qualification in education or child development is desirable but not essential.

Experience:

Prior experience working in a school or educational setting is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards students

Preferred Qualifications:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

Working Conditions:

This role involves working regular school hours during term time. The successful candidate will be expected to adhere to school policies and procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
