Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Science lessons to students
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the individual needs of students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practises and resources

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Science or related field
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience using technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the school calendar and timetable. Occasional extra hours may be required for parent meetings or other school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
