Join our dynamic team as an RS (Religious Studies) Teacher and embark on a journey of discovery and enlightenment with our students in Leeds!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking RS lessons that explore various religious beliefs, practices, and ethical dilemmas.
  • Stimulate meaningful discussions and debates on topics related to religion, morality, spirituality, and the human condition.
  • Provide guidance and support to students as they navigate questions of faith, identity, and existential purpose.
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes inclusivity, open-mindedness, and mutual respect among students of different backgrounds and beliefs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate RS themes into cross-curricular activities and promote spiritual and moral development across the school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Religious Studies or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of religious traditions, ethical principles, and philosophical concepts.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage students in meaningful dialogue and reflection.
  • Empathy, sensitivity, and a non-judgmental approach to discussing religious and moral issues.
  • Previous experience teaching RS or related subjects at the secondary level is advantageous but not essential.
