Job Title: DT/ART Teacher

Location: Walsall 

Working Days: Monday to Wednesday

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team at a reputable secondary school located in Wolverhampton. This is a part-time role, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher to engage, inspire, and educate our students while enjoying a great work-life balance. 

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching Technology subjects and the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.  

The Technology Department currently offers the following courses with the view to expanding Product Design and Textiles through to KS5:

o       KS3 Product Design, Textiles, Food (All on a carousel)

o       KS4 GCSE Textiles

o       KS4 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition

o       KS5 Level 3 Food Science

A specialism in product design/resistant materials is highly recommended.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Specialism or strong subject knowledge in Technology, Design, or related fields.
  • Experience teaching Technology subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Technology and its assessment framework.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Technology subjects that promote student engagement and achievement.

Assess and provide feedback on students' progress, maintaining accurate records of their achievements.

Utilize a variety of teaching techniques, resources, and technology to deliver interactive and dynamic lessons.

Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
