Role Overview:
As a Pupil Mentor, you will work closely with at-risk students, both within the school setting and potentially in their homes or through online platforms. Your role is to build positive relationships, offer individualized support, and contribute to the development of effective strategies for behavioural and academic intervention.

Key Responsibilities:
- Building Positive Relationships: Establish trusting connections with at-risk students to create a safe space for them to share concerns and challenges.
- Individualized Support: Work closely with each student to understand their unique needs, tailoring support to address specific challenges contributing to behavioural problems.
- Academic Assistance: Provide academic support to help students catch up on missed work, improve study skills, and enhance subject understanding for a more positive school experience.
- Behavioural Intervention: Collaborate with teachers and school counsellors to develop strategies for addressing challenging behaviours, implementing positive interventions and guidance on conflict resolution.
- Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with teachers and school staff to share insights, discuss progress, and coordinate efforts to support the student academically and behaviourally.
- Goal Setting and Monitoring: Utilize our bespoke tuition platform (LEAP) to assess pupils' needs, deliver the correct program, and monitor progress, fostering a sense of accomplishment and motivation.
- Life Skills Development: Support essential life skills development, including organization, problem-solving, financial awareness, and employability skills crucial for academic success and improved behaviour.

Our Pupil Mentors bring valuable experience to address diverse academic and behavioural challenges. They undergo continuous training through our accredited CPD program, ensuring they stay updated on the latest educational approaches.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
