Protocol Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated psychology graduate to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant in Sunderland. This is a full-time role, starting in February 2024 or as soon as possible (subject to DBS clearance).

The Opportunity: - Are you a Psychology Graduate with a keen interest in supporting students with special educational needs? - Are you an SEN Teacher, newly experienced, a recent graduate, or an aspiring educational psychologist? - Do you have experience working with 1:1 support or in small group environments (up to class sizes of 6-8)? - Are you looking to join a highly-rated SEN school in Sunderland, rated "Excellent" by Ofsted? - This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday (8:30-15:30), with a salary range of £385-£455 per week.

Key Responsibilities: - Working alongside the class teacher to provide support for students with special educational needs. - Collaborating with the SEN team to support students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP). - Leading sessions outside of the classroom, providing 1:1 support and small group work. - Planning and delivering intervention sessions, utilising relevant resources. - Working with other professionals to assess students' needs and progress. - Providing pastoral support to ensure students feel safe and secure at school and at home.
