PRU Teaching Assistant Needed!

 

Location: Willenhall

Duration: Full time

Salary: £75 - £95 per day

The School/role: I am working with a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) based in Willenhall that is seeking for passionate and resilient behaviour mentors to join their team. The school strives to provide the best quality teaching and learning with an inclusive and personalised curriculum. This is a full-time post and will run until the end of the academic year.

The candidate for this role will be experienced supporting children alongside children with a range of different academic attainment levels. It is essential that these students have a PRU Teaching Assistant to act as a positive role model as well as good academic knowledge to provide lesson support. This will require patience, commitment and the ability to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment. The team within the school are very supportive and will help you along the way. A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.

Requirements:

· Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background

· PECS and Makaton training/experience

· ASD, SEMH, Non-verbal, PMLD, MLD, visual impairment needs experience

· Level 1 safeguarding certificate

· Recent school based references

· Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport

· Full DBS – on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
