Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 5 Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days a week). This role involves covering a long-term position until the end of the academic year, supporting the educational journey of our Year 5 students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where creativity, collaboration, and empathy are highly valued.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of Year 5 students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Manage challenging behaviours effectively, implementing strategies that promote positive behaviour management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative teaching approaches and share best practices.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, maintaining open and transparent dialogue about student progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 5.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
  • Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
  • Commitment to the school's values of nurture, collaborate, innovate, and empathise.

Salary: The salary for this position ranges from £135 to £150 per day, depending on the level of experience. This rate does not include planning and preparation time.
