Job Title: Primary Teacher – Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Primary Teacher to join our team, focusing on delivering high-quality education to children with diverse learning needs. As a Primary Teacher in our SEND school, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the unique requirements of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that address the individual needs of students with SEND.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and other professionals to develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes the social and emotional well-being of students.
  • Implement a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Actively participate in school-wide initiatives, meetings, and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a SEND environment, with a focus on primary education.
  • Strong understanding of various Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Commitment to implementing safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Safeguarding Specifications: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Promoting the welfare of children and ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Adhering to and implementing the school's safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Recognizing and responding appropriately to any signs of abuse, neglect, or concerns about a child's well-being.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to ensure a safe and secure learning environment.
