Job Duties:

The primary teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to primary school students, assessing their progress, and providing feedback to students and parents. They create a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour, and collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the overall well-being and academic success of students.

Required Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching standards. Enhanced DBS check.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field.

Experience:

Previous experience teaching primary school students is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent classroom management abilities. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. Proficiency in using technology in the classroom.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in special educational needs (SEN) or experience working with students with SEN.

Working Conditions:

The primary teacher will work in a primary school setting, following the school calendar and timetable. They may need to attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions outside of regular school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
