The Role: As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in preparing students for their transition to secondary school, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across the curriculum. You will foster a positive classroom environment, nurture the academic and personal development of each student, and instill a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of all learners
  • Prepare students for the challenges of Year 6 assessments and secondary school transition
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to succeed
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic growth
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and carers to enhance the learning experience

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Year 6 students is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Passion for inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration
