Job Description: We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers to join our team. As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of primary schools, covering short-term absences, providing continuity of learning, and supporting the diverse needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences across the primary curriculum, ensuring all lessons are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the needs of the students and the requirements of the school.
  • Follow school policies and procedures, and adhere to the national curriculum, when planning and delivering lessons, and ensure all teaching and learning activities are appropriate for the age, stage, and ability of the students.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, and create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and encouraged to participate actively in their learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, and implement appropriate behavior management strategies to promote a positive and respectful learning environment, and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Support the school's assessment processes, and provide feedback on student progress and achievement to colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders, as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school leaders to contribute to the wider life of the school, including participating in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including lesson plans, assessments, and feedback, and ensure all administrative tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching across the primary curriculum, preferably in a variety of settings, and a strong understanding of effective pedagogical practices and assessment strategies.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and to quickly establish rapport with students and staff in new schools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment, and to effectively manage behavior and promote positive attitudes towards learning.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new teaching methods, technologies, and approaches.
  • Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, or willingness to undergo a DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
